| As I turned around and looked back along the Natural Bridge trail in Death Valley Natural Park I was pleased to see the shade starting to cover the route back to the car. Shade was a luxury and trails like this one really provided full accommodations as the sun moved across the sky. It was pretty endearing to watch people cling to any shady areas on the trail. The trail might have been very wide, but the path that people took was only as big as the patch of cool shadow. |
