This image is from the well known tulip festival held every year in April
in the Skagit Valley near Mt. Vernon, Washington. April 23, 2006
marked our first visit to the festival and my first day with my new
camera. The flowers were amazing, and while they do not always
scream black and white, I found the black and white tones offered an
interesting view of a scene so many have seen in color. The
appearance of Mt. Baker poking up in the background also caught
my eye on this clear and windy day.
