This photograph was taken October 3, 2004 at Mayberry State Park
near Northville, Michigan. It was a pretty warm fall day, and we were
not the only ones enjoying the sun.  We were out for a hike along
one of the many trails in the park.  This trail went out over a few small
ponds and had little decks that one could use to get closer to the
water.  These painted turtles were lined up on the log and sunning
themselves in any available space.  Other turtles were doing the
same thing, but this group was by far the largest.
