It collects gold, adds new items, allows you to use certain items while others only get used when asked for (like keys and quest items), it's an actor component so it is used for chracters and containers. It references a data table so you can get all that info in one place. That actor component controls how things are used, dropped, and sorted and communicates with on screen widgets. I started with a dialog system. I was curious on how to make one, so I did. It is driven via a Data table through blueprints, supports rich text, emotions and reactions, back and forth conversations, questions and answers, as well as triggered dialog from interactions. I will need to do more work on it once I get a Quest system in, but the foundations are there.

Introduction

Welcome to my blog about something I am working on while life is giving me some time. :) I have always wanted to work on a Zeldaish adventure game. So I am! Most of the current content is not mine. It is a combo of art I made, free content, and purchased content. I am mostly working on the systems needed to make the game. Future blogs will show some of the systems and then more about the game itself as it unfolds. Hope you enjoy the journey. Game is made in Unreal 5.8 using blueprints and is...
